The Leadpal Form Builder is a powerful tool designed to help you generate leads through efficient and user-friendly data collection. This guide will walk you through the steps to create, customise, and deploy forms using the Leadpal Form Builder.
Getting Started
Create a New Form:
If you’re new to Leadpal Forms, click ‘Create My First Form’.
If you’ve previously built forms, click ‘Create Form’.
Name Your Form:
Give your form a memorable name that reflects its purpose and location on your website. This will help you quickly identify it later.
Building Your Form
Drag and Drop Fields:
In the Form Builder, drag the desired fields from the left panel into the centre of the work area.
Rearrange fields by dragging and dropping them into the preferred order, or use the arrow buttons that appear when you hover over a field.
Add a Heading and Description:
To add a heading, click on the Heading Box at the top of your work area.
To add a description, click on the Description field. This can help clarify the form’s purpose.
Both the heading and description are optional.
Customising Your Form
Access Global Styles:
Click the ‘Settings’ button next to ‘Save & Publish’ to access global style options.
Here, you can adjust fonts, colours, borders, and more to ensure your form aligns with your brand’s look and feel.
Customise Individual Fields:
Hover over a field and click the settings icon to reveal customisation options.
For headings and descriptions, adjust font, alignment, and colours as needed.
For other fields, you can modify labels, placeholders, and help texts. You also have the option to auto-fill fields with values from the query string.
Customise the Submit Button:
Hover over the submit button and click the settings icon to change the button text, font size, style, colours, padding, and more.
Adjust Field Widths:
To place fields side by side, click the button with two diagonal arrows to set the fields to half-width.
Saving and Publishing Your Form
Save & Publish:
Once satisfied with your form, click ‘Save & Publish’ to save your changes.
Confirmation Settings
Navigate to the ‘Confirmation’ tab to determine what happens after a user submits the form.
You can display a custom message or redirect users to another page on your site.
Previewing and Embedding Your Form
Preview Your Form:
On the left side of the screen, you can preview how your form will look.
Embed Your Form:
On the right side, embed options and details on advanced topics like event tracking.
Click the green 'Copy' button to copy the embed code, then paste it where you want the form to appear on your site. Alternatively, send the code to the team responsible for maintaining your web pages.
